Wik running for Sheridan supervisor

SHERIDAN – Tom Wik is running for election for the post of town supervisor.

“It has been my privilege and honor to serve the residents of the town of Sheridan since Jan. 2, 2017,” he said. “After the untimely death of Supervisor John Walker, on Aug. 9, I was appointed to serve as supervisor of the town of Sheridan until the end of this year.

“I am running this November to serve the remaining two years of Supervisor John Walker’s term. I have accepted the nominations of the Republican and Conservative parties. In accepting the nominations I express my appreciation for the support and affirm that I will continue to strive for the best economic measures available thereby striving for efficiency.

“I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology and I am a Registered Professional Engineer. I have over 30 years experience in Municipal Government and therefore, consider myself well qualified for the position of Supervisor. I am a Supervisor who is responsive and responsible to you, the residents of the Town of Sheridan.

“I was appointed by the Chautauqua County Legislature to the North County Industrial Water District 1 and North County Industrial Sewer District 1 Boards.

“A few of my previous affiliations include membership in the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, American Public Works Association, New York State Association of Town Superintendents of Highways, and Erie County Association of Town Superintendents of Highways.

“My wife, Mary, and I reside on Lake Shore Drive East.

“My professional background and genuine interest in the town of Sheridan as well as the residents of the town of Sheridan can only provide a win-win scenario for us as a team. Thank you for your consideration, and I would like to humbly request your support in the upcoming election on Nov. 7.”
