Re-elected Dunkirk Common Councilwoman Natalie Luczkowiak has issued a statement in regard to the Tuesday night results.
“I am honored and grateful to serve again as a council member for our city of Dunkirk,” she said. “I look forward to further achieving results that will help us all. Thank you, God, and everyone--my family, friends, the Dunkirk Democratic Committee, and every person who helped in all ways--it was an accumulated effort towards this win.”
Luczkowiak won comfortably over Don Williams, who ran on the Conservative and Working Families parties. She also defeated him for First Ward in 2021.
“Also, there is one race that is still too close to call, with absentee ballots still out there, and that is for County Legislator District 1. I believe once the official results are in, it will be a victory for Marcus Buchanan. Fingers crossed, the county needs a real voice.”
