Lynden seeking another term in Fredonia

James Lynden

James Lynden is seeking re-election as trustee for the village of Fredonia and is endorsed by the Democratic Committee.

“As your trustee over the two terms in office I have notably worked for a more transparent and accountable governing body,” he said. “Having researched and made decisions that supported many achievements that protect, maintain and enhance the village services, facilities and local economy.

“Some of those achievements include: researching and working to provide the viability of the Fredonia site for the new regional hospital; adopting reasonable budgets; the approval of millions of dollars in grants and low and no interest loans to complete many projects for the water treatment plant repair and upgrades; wastewater treatment plant repairs; upgrade and rebuild to the Vineyard Dive pump station; water main replacements; repairs to the police department facility; overhaul and repair to the fire hall complex and purchase of major equipment; repairs to the village hall building and opera house; repairs to the library and museum building; repairs and upgrades the village parks; and the support of downtown revitalization grants for local business and economic development.

“The approval of the Siemens Energy Efficiency villagewide program that includes LED street lights and many facility upgrades that will save thousands of dollars annually.

“My research and proposal for a solar field project along with Siemens at the wastewater treatment plant that is expected to be complete next year with no upfront cost and saving thousands of dollars per year.

“I supported the approval of the currently enacted contracts with Northern Chautauqua County Water District, city of Dunkirk and the town of Pomfret to supply water safety backup to them and to the village of Fredonia.

“With your support I will continue my support of progress in maintaining and bettering our community.
