Some of the most talented young artists from the State University of New York at Fredonia’s School of Music will be featured in Thursday’s concert.

FREDONIA – The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center will present a special free recital featuring some of the most talented young artists from the State University of New York at Fredonia’s School of Music at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Presented in partnership with Ekstasis Duo’s Eliran Avni and Natasha Farny, the performance is part of a concert initiative created by the Duo. The recitals feature both solo and chamber ensemble performances by the next generation of classical musicians in the inviting and intimate setting of the Opera House.

The 60-minute recital will feature music by J.S Bach, Amy Beach, Mozart, and Poulenc, among others.

Featured musicians include Colin Arnett, Matthew Bhasin, Alexi Fuentes, Meredith McIntyre, Aaron Mecham, Boaz Mecham, Bug Medrano, Cate Palanski, and Erin Quin.

Admission is free, although donations toward piano tuning for the event are gratefully accepted.

Opera House programming is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and by the United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County. Free admission events are supported by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation Arts & Culture Initiative administered by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
