John Sipos, Town of Stockton Historian, was appointed Councilman to the Stockton Town Board. Sipos was appointed to complete the term of a 33-year member who resigned due to health conditions. Shown in the photograph taking the oath of office are Hannah Abram, with Stockton Town Supervisor David Wilson and Sipos. Wilson said it is all legal, as Sipos is filling in for an elected official. Sipos attended the Board meetings for the last five years, giving a brief history report of the area each month. The Stockton Town Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the Stockton Town Hall at 7 p.m.
