Dunkirk school advisory team meeting called off

The initial meeting of a Dunkirk City School District community advisory team was called off Tuesday morning.

The district's Facebook page posted, "The Family and Community Advisory Team Meeting scheduled for tomorrow, January 31, is canceled." No reason was given.

Superintendent Michael Mansfield did not return a call seeking comment. District Clerk Tara Jakse said he had morning meetings.

The district's former communications director, Jennifer Westerholt, left the position last week. She took a job at Buffalo's Nardin Academy, her alma mater.

The meeting was initially scheduled for November but was postponed due to travel issues with guest presenters.
