Cassadaga Property Alliance renamed and expands focus to assist local businesses

Special to the OBSERVER

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Property Alliance (CPA) has been renamed and rebranded to the Cassadaga Community and Business Alliance (CCBA).

The CPA was initially formed in response to the Village of Cassadaga’s Zone Review Committee’s recommendation to place restrictions on property owner rights without public input or voice. Its initial mission focused on best practices and management for short term rental properties in the village.

The new CCBA will be more inclusive to support and engage community advancement and all types of business development in and around the village.

“The CCBA is excited to expand with this fresh rebrand on CPA’s successful outcome for short term rental owners in Cassadaga and continue its positive impact and influence on the Cassadaga community,” said CCBA Founder Kim Collins.

The CCBA will focus on economic activation that properly manages business growth and enhances quality of life, not obstructing opportunity. Its priorities include:

¯ Assist in promoting the execution of the Updated Five-Year Comprehensive Plan

¯ Help to facilitate a business-friendly environment to promote eco-tourism and hospitality.

¯Advocate on behalf of the village for economic development and tourism opportunities.

¯ Ensure all rental property owners follow best practice ownership guidelines and ensure management enhances the quality of life of the village and surrounding community.

¯Work with local organizations to promote and complement fundraising activity that benefits the lake environs and overall village.

¯ Activate the hundreds of CCBA members to engage in activities and issues affecting the village’s quality of life.

“The Village of Cassadaga Board of Trustees supported its updated comprehensive plan to promote business opportunities that grow a healthy eco-tourist economy for the community,” said CCBA Member Susan Asquith. “Cassadaga has a wealth of opportunities to support a quality of life inseparably linked to its natural environment, which includes the lakes, tributaries, wetlands, trees, lots of snow, and green space. This expanded mission is an opportunity for new and current businesses, within the village and surrounding communities, to work together to build a thriving community, be stronger together.”

The organizational change includes a new name, logo, website, and Facebook platform. The new website can be found at Cassadaga-cba.com.
