Lake Shore Flea market set for this weekend

SHERIDAN — It’s Groundhog Day weekend. We promise you it’s not the same, so come to the Lake Shore Flea Market this weekend at the Sheridan VFW Memorial Post, 2556 Route 20.

The hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. The market opens again Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The VFW says “thank you” to all those fish fry supporters. Though the VFW did not win, our loyal supporters voted us the third best fish fry in the OBSERVER/Post-Journal “Best of the Best” contest. Place your dinner order and come into the flea market to fill out a ticket to win two free fish dinners. No purchase is necessary to enter for the free dinners.

The 50-50 drawing will continue through the 2024 flea market season. Half of the moneys will support the veterans and half will be awarded to one lucky winner. Chances are $1 each or eight for $5 and the funds will benefit our dedicated and loyal veterans.

The lucky winner of the 50-50 and free fish fries will be drawn on Saturday at 2 p.m. You do not have to be present to win either contest. In addition to the flea market and Friday night fish fry, the Ladies Auxiliary will have a bake sale to benefit the veterans.

Take home some yummy desserts or enjoy them after your dinner. Come back on Saturday for breakfast and lunch.
