Embrace Fredonia, a local nonprofit organization, is organizing and running Attic & Seller Days, which will be held May 31 to June 2.

The Chamber of Commerce organized Attic & Seller Days for many years, but it was recognized that this event more closely aligns with the objective of Embrace Fredonia, established in 2023, whose projects are conducted in collaboration with volunteers, local businesses, and organizations to help enhance the visual appeal of the community and uplift community spirit.

Embrace Fredonia President, Lauren Boyle noted, “Attic & Seller Days is well-known in the community and is highly anticipated each year. We understand the excitement around this event and look forward to another exceptional turnout, with strong participation from residents & bargain hunters! We are excited to adopt and embrace Attic & Seller Days 2024!”

Chamber President and CEO, Daniel Heitzenrater stated, “As the Chamber has refocused on our mission to build vital connections, provide professional resources, and champion local businesses in Chautauqua County, we are pleased to be able to transition this event to an organization that is truly focused on community building.”

As it has been for the past several years, the cost to register individual sales will be $10. An online form is available for participant registration at: www.embracefredonia.com. Paper registration forms and cash payments are also available at the Village of Fredonia Clerk’s Office (9-11 Church St.) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Online and in-person registrations will be accepted through May 24.

The weekend of the event, Embrace Fredonia volunteers will sell maps pinpointing the sale locations for $2 each (cash only) at the Visitors Booth in Barker Commons at Main and Park Streets) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. All proceeds will go towards Embrace Fredonia projects that help to beautify the village.

In addition to Attic & Seller Days, Embrace will also be hosting their Planting Day Event on Sunday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers will meet at the Visitors Booth starting at 9am and plant flowers around the trees along Main Street and in various locations throughout Downtown Fredonia. Individuals and groups are encouraged to attend.
