Sarah Korzeniewski

RANDOLPH — Randolph Academy, a New York State Special Act School District which supports, empowers and educates children with emotional and mental health disabilities, has chosen Sarah Korzeniewski as its new Randolph campus principal. She begins in her new role today.

Korzeniewski comes to the district from the Fredonia Central School District, where she has served in various roles since 2010. Most recently, she has been a Spanish and elementary teacher. She has also been the district’s grade eight instructional team leader, world languages instructional leader, and STEM camp director, as well as the Fredonia Teachers Association’s district mentor coordinator.

Prior to Fredonia, she served as a special education teacher with Buffalo Hearing and Speech. She has also taught within the Tri-Valley Central School District in Grahamsville, N.Y. She began her career as a substitute teacher in various schools across the lower Hudson Valley region.

Korzeniewski has a master’s degree in Instructional Technology from the New York Institute of Technology, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies from Mount Saint Mary College. She is completing her School Building and District Leadership Certificate from the College of Saint Rose as well. Her administration experience includes internships with the principals of the Fredonia and Wheelock elementary schools, as well as the Fredonia district’s chief curriculum and human resources officer.

“We are excited to add Sarah to our leadership team,” said Randolph Academy Superintendent Danielle Cook, Ph.D., who oversees the Randolph campus as well as its campus in Hamburg, N.Y. “Through a competitive search process, the committee recognized her leadership skills and valued the multitude of experiences that she has, preparing her for this opportunity. I’m confident she will bring valuable perspectives and initiatives to our school community, and I look forward to working alongside her.”
