One hospitalized after Gerry fire

A house fire erupted at 4825 Route 380 in Gerry late Saturday. One woman was taken to UPMC Hospital in Jamestown in serious condition. Fire Departments that responded included Gerry, Stockton, Sinclairville, Fluvanna, Ellery, Frewsburg, Kennedy, Lakewood, Chautauqua County Emergency Services as well as the county Sheriff’s Department. In a release from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, the fire was determined to have started in the kitchen area of the home. However the cause of the fire is being ruled undetermined, pending further investigation.
