Members of the Fredonia Police Department were on patrol most of Friday and Saturday nights due to the Non-Fred Fest events that took place in portions of the village. Saturday seemed to include more trouble than the previous night. Emergency crews responded to reports of a gunshot victim on Water Street and a pair of stabbings on East Main Street early Sunday were reported. Another incident involved pepper spray at a location on Water Street. Patrols could be seen with numerous citations being issued for open container violations. Most of the activity in these photos is from Canadaway Street. Non-Fred Fest began after the State University of New York at Fredonia announced in 2015 it would no longer be tied to the event that was formerly known as FRED Fest.
