United Way seeking sponsors for annual golf tournament

United Way of Northern Chautauqua County is now seeking sponsors for its annual charity golf tournament.

The 2024 AG Team Charity Classic is the largest fundraising event of the year for your United Way. Support of this event is essential to its continued success, and sponsorships can come in many forms.

Sponsorship levels include a gold, silver, and bronze tier, ranging from $1500 to $1000 to $500. In addition, there is also the opportunity for sign sponsorships with business logos on display at holes along the course. Sign sponsorships range from $150-$250.

“Our community’s unwavering support of the AG Team Charity Classic is always so heartening,” said Tyler Gotowka, UWNCC Board President. “From the golfers to the sponsors, your generosity and enthusiasm are instrumental in making this event a success. As always, your support of United Way funds a great many needed programs in the community which benefit your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. Together, we are making a lasting impact, and for that, we thank you.”

Golfers are encouraged to participate, no matter what skill level. The more golfers that participate, the more successful the event is for everyone involved. We encourage businesses to register their staff for this event, as it’s a great team building opportunity and chance to network with other organizations.

Events such as this tournament are fun to be a part of, as it’s non-traditional day of golf complete with raffles, games and more.

The tournament, now in its 11th year, will be played at Shorewood County Club on Monday, June 24, with registration beginning at 9am and tee off scheduled for 10am. Lunch and dinner will be included with your registration.

“Just as Shorewood Country Club has carried on a tradition of golf in Dunkirk/Fredonia for more than 100 years, so does the AG Team Charity Classic in the hearts and minds of area residents,” said Mike Ringler, UWNCC Golf Committee Co-Chair. “Shorewood is a beautiful course and we are grateful to be able to have use of it on what will hopefully be a beautiful summer day.”
