Summer events listed for city seniors

The Dunkirk Senior Center 50’s Party will be held Thursday. There are still some tickets available in the office. Doors open at 4 p.m. with dinner, D.J. and some 50’s fun. The cost is $5.

The Dunkirk Senior Center Summer Picnic will be Tuesday, July 16. Doors open at noon. Lunch will be available between 12:30 and 1:30. The ice cream truck will be available from 1:30 to 3:30. Games will be played. Music will be provided all afternoon. The cost is $5. Tickets go on sale Friday in the Center Office.

Sign-ups for trips continue. The Windmill Farm and Market will be Aug. 17. There is a waiting list for Erie Theater Jukebox Hop July 21. Several seats remain for the Theodore Roosevelt/Frank Lloyd Wright/Graycliff Tour with lunch at Pasquales on July 11. The Meadows and Wheeling WV will be in November.

Independent Health will be at the Center on Thursday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer any questions regarding your account. This is open to anyone.

There will be a phone class on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Call the Center office to register at 716-366-7530.

The next Big Bingo game will be Wednesday, July 10. Doors open at 4 p.m. with a light dinner being served at 4:30. Bingo will start at 5. Players must purchase a $2 ticket prior to the date of the bingo game. This ticket offers entry and entitles you to a jackpot card. Social time is held every Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Bring a bag lunch and play 25 cent bingo.

Pinochle is Monday and Friday at 1 p.m. Exercise class is Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 9 a.m. MahJongg is Tuesday at noon. Tai-Chi is Tuesday and Thursday at 3 p.m. Dominoes is Wednesday at 1 p.m. Hand and foot card game is Friday at 1 p.m.
