Silver Creek Senior Citizens hear from area Office of the Aging
SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Tuesday, July 9 with 26 members present. The members welcomed back President Sally Conover who opened the meeting with the Pledge to the flag and all singing God Bless America. Also welcomed back was Norra Carroll.
The guest speaker was Bridgett from the Office of the Aging. Arlene Miller offered a prayer for the members and food. Pizza, salads and desserts were on the menu. Sally, Arlene and Janice Snyder offered jokes.
The 50-50 raffle winners were Al Wilson, Arlene and Candy Weitz. Door prizes were won by Tony Borrello, Eleanor Lemiszko and Max Church. Lucky card holders for the wheel were: Tony, Jan Polisoto, Lorrie Newman, John Czuba, Joan Suski and Eleanor. Bingo winners included: Lorrie. Janice Snyder (twice), Max Church, Deanna Borrello, Randy Nurmi, Eleanor (twice), John, Jeanne Blakely and Marge Church.
On Tuesday Bridgett will again be the guest speaker, and the group will enjoy a corn roast with salads and desserts. The club meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at 1823 Lake Road, Silver Creek and is open to the senior public. Anyone wishing information about the meetings, please call 716-934-2170.
