Silver Creek Senior Citizens met July 2
SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Tuesday, July 2 with 29 members present. Vice President Janice Snyder opened the meeting with the Pledge to the flag and all singing God Bless America. Chaplain Pauline Flitt read “In His Time” and offered a prayer for the members and food. Everyone enjoyed hot dogs grilled by Harry Suski and Al Wilson, corn on the cob (thank you Deanna Borrello), salads and desserts.
The 50-50 raffle winners were Deanna, Pauline and Joan Militello. Door prizes were won by Deanna, Janice and Max Church. Lucky card holders for the wheel were: Candy Weitz, Jan Polisoto, Marge Church, Ruth Sheeler (twice), Elaine Wojda, Max, Lorrie Newman, Pauline and Harry. Candy called bingo and winners were: Sally (twice), Jan P. Marge, Ruth (twice), Elaine, Max, Lorrie, Pauline and Harry. At the next meeting a representative from The Office of the Aging will be the guest speaker, and lunch will be pizza, salads and desserts.
The club meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at 1823 Lake Road, Silver Creek and is open to the senior public. Anyone wishing information about the meetings, please call 716-934-2170.
