Blueprint Day set Aug. 13 at Gowanda

GOWANDA – The community is welcome to attend an annual event focusing on Gowanda Central School District’s vision for the future. District residents are invited to collaborate with staff and other members of the public Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Blueprint for Success Day, which focuses on strategic planning.

The yearly event, which takes a look at how the district is doing and how it can continue to improve and grow, takes place in the district auditorium at 10674 Prospect Street between 12:30 and 4:30 p.m.

Attendees will review feedback and the previous plan then brainstorm to assist in revising the “Blueprint for Success” for the 2024-25 academic year.

Gowanda CSD’s strategic plan focuses on priority areas and action steps. Increasing student and parent engagement, communicating clear expectations and improving social-emotional development, providing relevant and actionable professional development for all staff, as well as engaging students with enrichment opportunities to build confidence and critical-thinking skills will be discussed.

“Community input is crucial when it comes to looking at how we are doing and where we want to be as a district in the years ahead,” says district Superintendent Dr. Robert B. Anderson. “We value the feedback of our Blueprint Day volunteers and appreciate their contributions to our growth and success.”

Those interested in attending Blueprint Day should RSVP to district clerk Ms. Kathy Ferneza at msferneza@gcslearnorg or call 716-532-3325, ext. 6300.
