Two charged in Dayton drug bust

DAYTON – Two men are facing drug-related charges following an investigation in the village.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, members of the Southern Tier Regional Task Force executed a search warrant at 15 Second Ave., Dayton.

Investigation into the residence allegedly revealed the residence was being used for the sale of illegal narcotics. Officers said they recovered crack cocaine, fentanyl and U.S. currency.

Jeffrey Nesbitt, 40, of Buffalo was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and is being held on $5,000 bail.

Phillip Duval, 48, of Collins was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released with an appearance ticket.

Task force members were assisted by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team.
