Building a writing career class set
SINCLAIRVILLE — A free class is being offered at the Sinclairville Free Library on the four Fridays of September from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each week. You may attend in person or online.
Each week will focus on a different aspect of building your career. Class will be taught by John Brantingham.
— Week one will be focused on goal setting and the basics of getting your poetry, fiction, memoir, and creative nonfiction into magazines and to publishers.
— Week two will be about platform building to ensure that your writing is getting to the right audience.
— Week three will be a discussion of obtaining grants and literary citizenship (ways to increase your brand by connecting to the literary community).
— Week four will be a submission marathon where you will be given direction on the places to send your work.
The event is open to everyone, and it is completely free. Come to one week or to all of them.
