Jamestown firefighters contain kitchen blaze
JAMESTOWN — A kitchen fire at 33 Sturges St. in Jamestown was quickly cotained by firefighters.
Jamestown Fire Department reports the incident took place around 1:22 a.m. Sunday. When crews arrived, fire was visible through a first-floor window. Once the fire was knocked down, a search of the residence took place.
Firefighters found four cats that were returned to the owner and noted that working smoke alarms resulted in early detection of the fire.
Crews were back in service after 5 a.m.
