SENECA NATION – A Gowanda man has lost his life in a motor vehicle accident.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit is currently investigating a fatal car accident which occurred on the Seneca Nation Tuesday.

A vehicle operated by 47-year-old Christopher M. Nicholson Sr was traveling southbound on Versailles Plank Road, when it left the roadway and proceeded into a wooded area.

Nicholson and his dog were declared deceased on scene by Emergency Medical Personnel.

The investigation is continuing.
