Homeless man faces 14 drug-related charges

A homeless man faces 14 drug-related charges after a recent Dunkirk Police Department arrest.
The police report they arrested Christian Ayala Gonzalez, 37, on April 12. He was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, which are felony charges. Gonzalez also was hit with eight charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Those are misdemeanors.
There were additional charges as well. Dunkirk police also logged single counts each of first-degree criminal nuisance (a felony), second-degree criminal nuisance, and petit larceny (misdemeanors), for a total of 17 separate charges.
