After three rounds, 16 acts advance to the semifinal round of Chautauqua’s Got Talent.

Now, only two performances remain to crown a winner.

On Monday, Chautauqua’s Got Talent once again lit up The Spire Theater as 24 performers took the stage in Round 3 of the county-wide talent competition. The energy was high, the audience turnout was strong, and the support in the room was palpable.

Here are the semifinalists: Amaya Thompson, Braelee Zuck, Christine Porter, Daughters of Thunder, Dewayne Moore, Emeleerose Mason, Gracelyn (Nevaah) Kohler, Kadyn and Marc, Kambria Kennedy, Kristen McNitt, Melani Witherspoon, Meghan Kelsey, Paige Silverman, Rocco Oliverio, Sebastian Hulett, and Shelby Storms.

The performances featured a diverse blend of Broadway, country, spirituals, pop music, and original songs. But it wasn’t just the variety of genres that made the night special — it was the spirit of collaboration and community among the contestants themselves.

Sebastian Hulett accompanied Gracelyn (Nevaah) Kohler on guitar during her performance, while Kadyn and Marc lent their musical support to Shelby Storms. Assistant Stage Manager Rya Giuffre jumped in to back performers with harmonies and ukulele. And two memorable father-daughter moments warmed the hearts of the crowd as Melani Witherspoon and Braelee Zuck each shared the stage with their dads.

“It’s so moving to see these performers not only bring their best, but lift each other up,” said CGT judge Jamie Lee. “That kind of kindness and generosity is something we need more of in the world.”

Producer and CGT co-founder Angelo Valentino added, “We say this every year, but it keeps being true — the talent we see on this stage could go toe-to-toe with major markets. The audience plays a vital role in recognizing that.”

Ylsa Maj, also a producer and longtime judge, emphasized the value of support from the audience: “Even if you don’t know someone in the show personally, you’ll find yourself cheering like you do. The performances are just that good, and your vote helps shape who gets to move on.”

Audience voting remains the sole deciding factor in who advances — and Monday’s margins were tight, it is why producers are encouraging new and returning attendees alike to join the next two shows. Not only is the entertainment top-notch and family-friendly, but every vote matters, especially from audience members.

The ultimate winner will receive $1,000 in cash, professional recording studio time, and the chance to join the ranks of CGT’s most celebrated alumni.

The contest continues with the semifinals on Monday, May 12, at 7 p.m. at The Spire Theater, 317 E. Third St. Doors open at 6 p.m., Tickets are available at inspirejamestown.com.

Starting at $3.50/week.
