BROCTON — Plans are set for the Brocton Central School Alumni Association Golf Tournament and Chicken & Rib BBQ for July 12. These events are always held on the second Saturday in July to raise money for student scholarships.

All proceeds from these events along with donations have funded over $47,000 in scholarships, over the past 19 years. There will be three $1,000 scholarships awarded to the Class of 2025. Proceeds from the 2025 events will determine how many scholarships can be awarded to the Class of 2026.

The events kick off at Pine Hurst Golf Course in Westfield at 8 a.m. Contact Jon Espersen at (716) 467-8328 for reservations. It is $70 per golfer and includes golf, prizes and a hot dog and hamburger lunch at the turn, skins available.

There will be 50-50 drawings and raffle prizes. Register as a team of four, or individually, and we will try to find a foursome for you. Donations of raffle prizes are appreciated.

Brocton school Superintendent Jason Delcamp, will conduct a school tour at 2 p.m. Meet at the school flagpole in the front parking lot and prepare to be amazed.

The fun continues with a Chicken & Rib BBQ by Weinder’s at the Brocton Legion Post 434 beginning at 4 p.m., where you can drive through to pick up or park and eat inside. Classes can make dinner table reservations to sit together. The dinner includes BBQ Chicken & Ribs, buttered spuds, coleslaw, roll & butter with a homemade cookie. Tickets are $20, and will be available soon from any alumni member, at the Brocton Legion Bar, the village of Brocton office or by calling or texting Kathy Peters at (716) 679-5814. Dinners must be picked up by 6 p.m. Reservations or donations can also be made by sending a check to BCS Alumni Association, PO Box 195, Brocton, NY 14716. Scholarship donations are much appreciated.
