The Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County (MHA) returns to providing regular services in the north county on Tuesday, May 6. Located in Grace Lutheran Church, 601 Eagle Street in Dunkirk, its hours will again be Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The center has been closed since late March because of a building problem whose remediation is now completed.
MHA Executive Director Michael Nordin said, “We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time and look forward to having everyone back.”
During the closing, an MHA recovery coach has been available weekly at Chautauqua County Rural Ministry’s Friendly Kitchen in Dunkirk. Anyone who needs assistance before the May 6 reopening can still call (716) 661-9044 or email info@MHAChautauqua.org.

Trained peers offer a unique perspective to share their experience and knowledge to help others to navigate community services and access treatment and basic life needs by providing support through a complicated system.
All MHA services, including xylazine wound care kits and fentanyl test kits, are free.
The Jamestown recovery center in the Gateway Building, Door 14, at 31 Water Street is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m., and Tuesday and Friday, 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
