WESTFIELD – An Ohio man was killed Thursday morning in an accident on I-90.

“Yesterday morning at 9:48 we were dispatched to I-90 for a report of a box truck into the bridge support at the Hawley St overpass. C291, C293, A291, E292 and CCEMS M70 were on the initial response. Upon arrival and determining the driver did not survive his injuries from the accident, due to the amount of damage to the vehicle, Ripley Hose Company #1 and Chautauqua County Tech Rescue team were called to assist with extrication of the victim,” the Westfield Fire Department posted on Facebook Friday. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family in this time of mourning.”

State Police identified the victim as 41-year-old Larry Littlejohn of Columbus, saying he was a truck driver.

The Westfield Fire Department added that they were additionally assisted on scene by the Chautauqua County coroner, NY State Police, and NY State Thruway authority.
