City woman arrested for stabbing
A Dunkirk woman was arrested for a June 4 stabbing.
The Dunkirk Police Department reports that on June 4 at approximately 8:48 p.m., officers responded to an address on Main Street for a reported stabbing victim. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who had a minor injury to her arm. After investigation, it was determined that the incident had actually taken place at an address on Leopard Street.
The victim was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. A warrant was requested for the suspect, identified as Angelica M. Irizarry, 29, of Dunkirk, and she was later arrested. Irizarry is charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and was held for arraignment.
