The three branches of the Fredonia American Legion came together to offer memorial to the many area deceased service members on May 26. The Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and legionnaires from the post took part in several Memorial Day services at places around the village beginning with the raising of the flag at Post 59, followed by a rifle volley and taps at Concord Estates, Fredonia Place and concluding with the veteran’s monument in Barker Commons. After the ceremony the group was treated to a picnic lunch at the post. Pictured are the participants in Barker Common along with Fredonia Mayor Mike Ferguson.
