Nussbaumer & Clarke Inc. celebrates 92 years with new leadership, vision

As Nussbaumer & Clarke, Inc. marks its 92nd anniversary, the company has announced a new chapter in its storied legacy. Coinciding with this milestone, the firm recently completed a leadership transition that positions it for continued excellence in engineering and land surveying services throughout Western New York and beyond.
Founded on May 15, 1933, by Newell L. Nussbaumer and Irving Clarke, Nussbaumer & Clarke, Inc. has grown into a respected, locally owned, multi-disciplined firm known for delivering smart, sustainable solutions that shape communities and support infrastructure across the region.
This year, as the firm celebrates over nine decades of service, it also celebrates the evolution of its leadership. With Michael J. Borowiak, P.L.S. stepping down in January after 38 years of service to the company, ownership has transitioned to an expanded team. Michael T. Marino, P.E. will continue leading the firm as Chief Executive Officer.
— Andrew H. Gow, P.L.S. will serve as President of Land Surveying. With over 30 years of experience in the field, Gow’s leadership will drive the continued expansion of the firm’s surveying services, ensuring Nussbaumer & Clarke remains at the forefront of western New York’s land surveying industry.
— Craig M. Alexander, S.E., P.E., LEED AP will take on the role of Chief Operations Officer and oversee Nussbaumer’s Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural (MEPS) Groups. With his extensive experience, Alexander will lead the firm’s efforts to optimize the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural services, ensuring that these divisions continue to provide high-quality, efficient, solutions for clients in both the public and private sectors.
— David M. Britton, P.E. has been appointed President of Engineering for Nussbaumer. With a deep background in civil engineering and planning, Britton will oversee the firm’s municipal engineering division, where he will focus on serving the infrastructure and planning goals of western New York’s communities.

Together, this new ownership team will work together to further the company’s legacy of excellent professional services while positioning Nussbaumer for continued growth. The leaders are focused on expanding the firm’s capabilities, incorporating new technologies, and staying ahead of evolving client needs.
