Art nights planned in Sinclairville library

SINCLAIRVILLE — Special Community Art Nights at the Sinclairville Free Library are planned in the coming weeks.

They include:

— Flower Pounding with Brenda Nickerson on Monday at 5 p.m. Participants will learn which flowers and/or leaves work well and how hard to pound to get the desired results. Cost per person $10. Seating is limited.

— Art in Motion with Erin Gray on Monday, Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. Experiment with pendulum painting, blowing crazy hair pictures with straws and rolling marble designs. Create an art piece at each station.

— For the Birds with Erin Gray on Monday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. Learn about local artist, Roger Tory Peterson and the library’s Day Adventure Pass Program. Each participant will create a parrot drawing using their handprint and other art mediums.

— Art of Succulents with Miss Jessica on Monday, Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. Learn how to care for and propagate succulents. Succulents are a group of plants that store water in their leaves. The leaves tend to be thick and fleshy. Each participant can create a small decorative hanging planter with real succulents propagated by Miss Jessica from her very own collection. Different succulents to select from along with decorative items.
