Autism assistance offered for mothers
A first-of-its-kind conference designed exclusively for mothers raising children on the autism spectrum is coming to Fredonia on Oct. 25 — offering moms a rare opportunity to be surrounded by understanding, encouragement, and connection.
Autism Connecting Conference for Moms, is a movement founded by autism mom Kelly Cain, Executive Director of the Autism Caring Center. The powerful event is at Wheelock Primary School.
The conference aims to combat the emotional isolation many mothers feel while navigating the challenges of autism parenting. Through storytelling, workshops, support circles, and self-care, moms will walk away renewed and connected.
“So many autism moms are the caregivers, the advocates, the schedulers, the researchers — and yet they’re so often alone,” said founder Kelly Cain. “This conference is about saying: ‘You matter, too. You’re not invisible. And you belong here.'”
The Autism Connecting Conference for Moms will feature dynamic speakers, expert-led sessions, and peer-led conversations in a safe, nonjudgmental space. Attendees will receive swag bags, participate in self-care activities, and connect with local service providers and fellow autism moms in the region.
Event highlights:
— Uplifting keynotes and speakers.
— Hands-on sessions on advocacy, self-care, and local resources.
— Resource tables & swag from local autism service providers.
— Connection circles with other moms who “get it.”
This event is designed for any mom or female caregiver of a child (at any age) on the autism spectrum — from those newly diagnosed to moms navigating adulthood transitions. Whether overwhelmed or simply seeking support, all are welcome.
