Bogosian joins Fredonia Optometry Group

Dr. Zak Bogosian O.D.

Fredonia Optometry Group has announced Dr. Zak Bogosian O.D. has joined its practice. Dr. Bogosian will be joining Dr. Steven Ihrig O.D. at the Main Street office in Fredonia. Dr. Bogosian grew up and went to school in Silver Creek and completed his bachelor’s degree in biology, summa sum laude, at SUNY Fredonia and was a member of the National Biological Honors Society.

Dr. Bogosian earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Over the course of his clinical training, Dr. Bogosian tallied over 3000 patient encounters in various clinics such as specialty contact lenses, binocular vision, vision therapy, pediatrics, and low vision. Dr. Bogosian completed his ocular disease rotation at the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Hospital in Utah and his pre/post operative care rotation at the Davis Eye Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

“I have a passion for providing my patients with clear sight and solving their visual needs while managing and treating all aspects of ocular health,” said Dr. Bogosian. “I am thrilled for the opportunity to improve lives and protect eyes within my own community.”

Dr. Bogosian is licensed to practice in New York with oral medication prescribing privileges and has passed all three parts of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Outside of healthcare, Dr. Bogosian is a guitar player and singer in the band Imortal formed with his brother and best friend in elementary school and travels across the country performing with a band of optometrists called The Eye Docs of Rock. Dr. Bogosian also enjoys running, hiking, and snow sports.
