The owners of a restaurant have purchased the building the business operates out of.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from May 20-23.

During this time period, Albert and Karen Simmons purchased 19 and 21 S. Erie St., Mayville from Chautauqua Inns, LTD of Mayville for $185,000. This is the location of Music for your Mouth and Ice Cream Sweets and Treats.

Music For Your Mouth, which is run by the Simmons, held a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 12 for the business’ three-year anniversary.

In a separate sale, Sunfish Shores, LLC of Cassadaga purchased 209 Dale Drive, Cassadaga for $499,900. On June 19, the Cassadaga Zoning Board of Appeals approved a Special Use Permit to turn this five-bedroom residence into a short-term rental property following a public hearing. The business will be operating under the name Kingfisher Cove.

The biggest sale during this time period was 3757 Hineman Road, Ellery which sold for $1,350,000. It is described on line as a 5,449 square foot house with six bedrooms on a 5.8 acre lot.

Along with the sales previously mentioned, from May 20-23 there were eight sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– Unit No. 8274, Canterbury Woods I Condominium sold for $479,000.

– Three parcels on Route 426, Mina sold for $415,000.

– 3547 Lake St., Ellicott sold for $380,000.

– 322 Maplecrest Ave., Busti sold for $379,000.

– 7210 Route 5, Westfield sold for $350,000.
