Family reunion set for Lighthouse on Saturday

Dunkirk Lighthouse will host the Blodgett/Pierce/McClenathan reunion on Saturday.

The 151st Blodgett/Pierce/McClenathan reunion will be on Saturday at the Dunkirk Lighthouse starting at 11 a.m. in the pavilion. A potluck luncheon is being planned, and families are asked to bring a dish to pass, their own table service and drink.

The theme for the 151st is Hawaiian and all are encouraged to dress in bright tropical clothes. Following lunch, the business meeting will be held and our annual family picture will be taken with the lighthouse as the backdrop.

Family members Mike and Todd McClenathan will provide special music for the event. Lighthouse tours are available during the reunion for all family members for a small fee and restrooms are handicapped accessible. The committee is encouraging all Blodgett/Pierce and McClenathan families to attend and bring any news of marriages, births, and deaths so the family records can be updated.

Last year was an exciting year for our family celebrating 150 years of consecutive reunions. There were approximately one hundred family members in attendance from all over the United States. Artist Leigh Rubin created a commemorative drawing specific to our family. One family won the original framed artwork, and all family members received a copy.

A special 150th cake was served at the event, and special music was provided by Mike and Todd McClenathan. The 2024 150th celebration was held at the lighthouse and had a nautical theme.

Starting at $3.50/week.
