Phillip E. Nalbone
JAMESTOWN – Jamestown native Phillip E. Nalbone was recently elected Chair of the Board of Directors of the Robert H. Jackson Center, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the legacy of former U.S. Supreme Court Justice and Chief U.S. Prosecutor of the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, Robert H. Jackson. Nalbone joined the Jackson Center’s Board in 2024 and has served on the Finance Committee and Development Committee. He has been elected to a year term as Chair, succeeding Julia Craighill, who served that role since 2022
“From his origins in Frewsburg and Jamestown and fortified by the public education he received here and the civic-minded values he embraced at an early age, Robert H. Jackson went on to become one of the most consequential figures of the 20th century, both on the national and international stage, and his relevance remains profound,” Nalbone said. “The Center is dedicated to perpetuating Jackson’s influence by providing significant educational content in such fields as U.S. Constitutional history and the Supreme Court, the lessons of the Holocaust and international human rights, and the rule of law. It is the greatest honor for me to be part of preserving Jackson’s legacy, and I am proud to be associated with one of my hometown’s most acclaimed institutions.”
During a professional career that has spanned nearly 40 years, Nalbone has worked as a journalist, a Wall Street analyst, and executive in the medical technology industry. For the past seven years he served as Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations at Imperative Care, Inc., a Campbell, CA-based commercial-stage company focused on the treatment of stroke, pulmonary embolism, and other serious blood clot disorders. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Reprise Biomedical, Inc., a commercial-stage company headquartered in Plymouth, MN focused on the treatment of severe wounds.
Nalbone is a graduate of Jamestown High School and St. Lawrence University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and several departmental honor societies. He is the son of Kathleen A. Roselle and the late Samuel J. Nalbone. He resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with his husband, David Decker, and their son, Julian.
“On behalf of the staff and our Board members, I am pleased to welcome Phil to his new role as Board Chair,” said Kristan McMahon, President of the Jackson Center. “For nearly 25 years, the Center has fulfilled an important non-partisan educational mission by advancing the legacy of Justice Jackson. We know that Phil is deeply dedicated to the strategic objectives of this organization, to serving the community in which he grew up, and to ensuring the Center’s impact continues to broaden. I look forward to working with him as we pursue these important goals.”
