New trips announced for Grape Belt Seniors

There will be two more trips coming up for the Grape Belt Senior Group.

On Oct. 1, there will be a Fall Train Excursion on the Arcade and Attica Railroad.

Price is $140 and includes fall rail ride, delicious luncheon at Turkey Run Golf Club and a stop at Merrit Estate Winery.

Lunch will be a buffet style including: Salad, Chicken Marsala, Rigatoni with red sauce, salt potatoes, vegetable, dessert, coffee/tea/water. Need to mail the final reservation and payment by Friday. Contact the group this week as seats are still available.

On Oct. 15, there is a trip to Sprague’s and Sites. Price is $128 and includes the Rusty Rooster and Chocolate Roost in Portville filled with treasures for every taste. Custom heirloom-quality woodwork, DIY slab lumber, reclaimed furniture, fine chocolates, coffee, custom metal art and much more. Next head to Sprague’s Maple Farm Restuarant for a delicious included brunch. The choices are Hot Turkey Sandwich with sides, Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich with sides, or Half Turkey Cobb Salad served with rolls and butter. Need to know your choice when you sign up for a trip. After brunch we will be going to the Basilica of St. Mary the Angels, which is an international pilgrimage destination. Final stop will be at the Cuba Cheese Shoppe. Need to finalize this trip.

There may be another trip added for Shea’s 710 Theater in December for “A White Christmas.” That’s still to be determined.

There is exercise class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m., and Dominos are on Friday’s following exercise class. A date will be announced for our September Pot Lunch Luncheon at the next Board meeting and you can call to find out when that is. Need to be a member for all activities and everyone is welcomed to join.
