Silver Creek Seniors meet
SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors held their meeting on Aug. 19 with 25 members including new member Joseph Dolce who was welcomed to the Club.
Before the meeting began everyone enjoyed their brown bag lunch, snacks and beverages. Member Earl Sheeler brought some home grown veggies to share with everyone.
After lunch the meeting began with President Sally Conover leading with the Pledge to the Flag and then everyone singing “God Bless America.” Chaplin Pauline Flitt then said the Blessing called “All We Can Do.”
The meeting started with some jokes then talking about the new improvement to the driveway which turned out great. Other topics of business were the upcoming installation of new officers and how things would be handled when officers are on vacation etc.
The 50/50 winners were drawn, they were Norra Carroll, Ruth Sheeler and Dixie Carlson.
Dixie and Sally Conover won the gifts. The wheel winners were: John Czuba, Sally Conover (twice), Pauline, Norra and Dixie.
The Bingo winners were: Jan Polisoto, Harry Suski (twice), Janice Snyder, Dixie, new member Joseph, Al Wilson, Ginny Chesbro, Earl, Ruth Sheeler, Joan Suski, Norra, Eleanor Lemiszko, Joan Militello and Pauline. A special thank you goes out to Randy Nurmi for stepping up to help with the activities.
The next meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 19 will be a pot luck luncheon which always has a huge variety of home cooked food. Any Senior interested in joining please stop by the Club House on Tuesdays for the get-together by 12:30 p.m. so the meeting can start at 1 p.m. For more information call Lorrie at 716-785-1074.
