2 arrested after knife pulled outside restaurant
Two people were arrested after one of them pulled a knife during an argument with staff at a Dunkirk restaurant.
The Dunkirk Police Department reported Sunday that Samuel Camacho III, 33, and Nicholas Watts, no age listed, were both charged with second-degree menacing, endangering the welfare of a child, and obstruction of governmental administration.
The police report they were called to the restaurant Sept. 13 and found Camacho and Watts yelling at staff and refusing to leave. Officers asked them to leave but they refused, and the police removed them.
After an investigation, it was determined Camacho and Watts were asked by staff to leave the restaurant parking lot, but refused. A verbal argument ensued, leading to Camacho brandishing a knife. Staff retreated into the restaurant, but Camacho and Watts followed them in to continue the verbal altercation.
The employee who they pulled the knife on was a juvenile, leading to the endangering the welfare of a child charges.
Once the investigation was concluded, arrest warrants were requested for Camacho and Watts. They were located and arrested a short time later.
Camacho was also arrested in August on drug charges after investigators executed a search warrant at a Nevins Street residence. Fentanyl, Suboxone, scales and narcotics packaging material were discovered. Camacho was charged then with third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
