Brocton superintendent earns state honors
Jason Delcamp
Jason Delcamp, superintendent of the Brocton Central School District, has been named the 2025 New York State Administrator of the Year by the New York State Association of Educational Office Professionals (NYSAEOP). The award was announced during the organization’s 73rd Annual Conference held in Auburn.
Although Mr. Delcamp was unable to attend the conference banquet due to a family commitment, Cynthia Marx, CEOE, accepted the award on his behalf and shared his letter of acknowledgement with attendees.
In his letter, Mr. Delcamp expressed deep gratitude for the recognition and for those who have supported his journey in education. “I am truly humbled and honored to be nominated and considered for such a prestigious award,” he wrote. “Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to be surrounded by people who saw more in me than I often saw in myself…Their belief in me has shaped who I am as a leader.”
Delcamp also used the occasion to recognize the invaluable role of secretarial and administrative professionals in education. “These individuals are, without question, the heartbeat of every successful school district,” he noted. “They are the ones on the front lines, often calming the storm, listening with care, and often making us, the administrators, look good in our roles. This award truly belongs to them.”
A longtime advocate for professional growth and collaboration,Delcamp has supported Brocton’s Administrative Professionals in joining both the Chautauqua County Association of Educational Office Professionals, NYSAEOP, and the National Association of Educational Office Professionals, fostering leadership development and districtwide positivity.
He concluded his remarks with words of appreciation: “To everyone here today, thank you. Thank you for this great honor, and for the work each of you does behind the scenes every single day. You are instrumental to the success of our schools and the futures of the children we serve.”
