County To Rent More Space In Jamestown
Jamestown is going to be renting more space to the county, due to the new lead rental program.
During the Chautauqua County Legislature meeting, lawmakers agreed to leasing an additional 636 square feet of office space on the third floor of the Jamestown Municipal Building, 200 E. Third St. The cost will be $14.86 per square foot through the end of 2025. The cost will go up to $15.46 per square foot in 2026, with regular increases through 2029.
In total, the county will be leasing 1,304 square feet.
Jessica Wurstle with the county Health Department said during a committee meeting that they are very happy with their space they are already renting.
The county has been required to add staff to run the Lead Rental Registry by the state and the Health Department will use this additional space for those staff members.
The money is being covered by a state grant.
