Flea market makes fall return Friday, Saturday
The Lakeshore Flea Market is returning. The first of the season will be held at the VFW Memorial Post, 2556 Route 20.
For the month of October only it will be on the second Friday and Saturday of the month. The hours are 5 to 8 p.m.on Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. The remainder of the year, November through April, the flea market will run the full first Friday night and Saturday of each month. The hours will be Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Cash for Christmas” will be returning to help with your holiday shopping. Starting at the October flea market and continuing through November and December, attendees may purchase tickets for a 50-50 cash drawing to be awarded at the December market. One ticket is $2 and three tickets are $5. The more tickets you buy, the better your odds and the bigger the stuffing for your holiday sock.
One lucky winner will receive half of the amount for “Cash for Christmas.” The other half will be for our well deserving veterans. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, Dec. 6. You do not have to be present to win. So when you receive a call from a number you don’t recognize, it might be Santa with your “Cash for Christmas”!
In addition to the flea market and Friday night fish fry, the VFW will be offering Saturday breakfast and lunch. The breakfast menu includes sandwiches on Homemade Biscuits, Fresh Brewed Coffee. The lunch menu is homemade soup of the week, pizza and wings The VFW offers a full service bar for a variety of beverages.
Reservations are recommended for the fish fry. You may dine in or take out. Please come for a fish fry, shop for great merchandise, including beautiful new and vintage items and Halloween costumes and decor. It’ll be a “spooktacular” shopping experience and a true treat of a fish dinner!
