Ripley Library announces new director

Molly Harvey is the new director of the Ripley Public Library.
RIPLEY — The Ripley Public Library has a new director who is a familiar face.
Molly Harvey has been a fixture at the location for three years as the Nutritionist from SNAP-ED, coming twice monthly to share nutrition information with our patrons.
“When an opening came up, I was excited for the possibility to become a permanent part of this library,” she said. “This has always been my favorite site to go with the nutrition program.”
Molly has a B.S. degree in Nutrition and Human Performance from Gannon College in Erie, Pa. Molly brings years of experience with contacts throughout Chautauqua County that she hopes to utilize for additional programming at the library.
“Social media is trending now with gardening. Maybe we can look into a community garden!” she said. Nutrition and physical exercise being her focus in college, she is hoping to get a walking club or exercise group started as well.
“I’m really excited to be part of the Ripley community and I can’t wait to see the changes we can make together.”
Harvey began her new role last week.
