SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Tuesday Sept 23. President Sally Conover brought the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited and then the singing of ” God Bless America “. Chaplain Pauline Flitt read the Blessing ” Assurance “. Everyone then enjoyed pizza.

Topics of discussion were the upcoming yearly auction, election of officers and the yearly luncheon at Silver Creek High School. Members are reminded to sign up for the luncheon by Oct. 10. The luncheon will be at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

President Sally Conover told a few jokes before the drawing of the gifts, 50/50, wheel cards and Bingo. Pauline, Annie Griem and Sally Conover won the gifts. Pauline, Carol Militello and Al Wilson won the 50/50 drawing. The wheel winners were: Randy Nurmi , Ruth Sheeler, Elaine Wojda (twice) and Ruth Cardace. The following members won Bingo, Janice Snyder (3 times), Jeanne Blakely, Eleanor Lemiszko, Dixie Carlson, Ruth Cardace, Ruth Sheeler (twice), Al, Pauline and Annette Hoeber.

The Silver Creek Seniors also met Sept. 30. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by “God Bless America.” Chaplain Pauline Flitt read the Blessing “Awaken Each Morning.” Birthdays for the months of July, August and September were celebrated. There was cake and ice cream for everyone to enjoy. The menu for the October 7 meeting will be tacos.

Elections will be coming up soon plus the annual auction On Oct 21.

The lucky wheel winners were Annette Hoeber, Judy Domanski (twice), John and Pauline. The following members won Bingo. Ruth Sheeler, John (three times), Al Wilson, Jeanne Blakely, Deanna Borrello, Earl, Pauline, Randy Nurmi and Annette.
