Centaur Stride founder to speak in Ripley
Claudia Monroe, Centaur Stride Physical Therapist will speak at Ripley Library on Nov. 13.
RIPLEY — Claudia Monroe, a retired physical therapist, who specializes in neurological impairments, pediatrics, strokes, necks and backs will speak at the Ripley Library at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13. In her 31-year career she worked in a variety of divisions of PT: hospital in-care, hospital out-patient, nursing homes, home care, sports medicine, rehabilitation, head injuries, school based early intervention and Pre-K, private practice, pool therapy, travelling therapist, and Hippotherapy.
Monroe says, “The most rewarding programs paid nothing. The extra hours usually went to subsidize the Therapeutic Horseback Riding,” which started shortly after her graduation from college.
Co-founder of Centaur Stride Therapeutic Horseback Riding Facility in Sherman, she helped improve the quality of life for many throughout the years. She continues to seek a solid sustainability plan for the future of Centaur Stride.
