Join CHQ Aging to tour newly updated offices in Mayville, Jamestown, and Dunkirk
The Chautauqua County Office for Aging Services (CHQ Aging) is inviting residents, caregivers, and community partners to attend a series of upcoming Open Houses this November. The events will celebrate recent investments in modern, accessible office spaces designed to better serve the needs of older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers.
Over the past several years, CHQ Aging has relocated and renovated several of its offices to provide improved access, updated facilities, and a more welcoming environment for visitors. To formally commemorate these milestones, three Open Houses will be held at the following locations:
Monday, November 17, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Mayville Office – Hall R. Clothier Building, 7 North Erie Street, Second Floor, Mayville
Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Jamestown Office – The Chautauqua Center, 107 Institute Street, Second Floor, Jamestown
Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Dunkirk Office – 51 East Third Street, Suite #2, Dunkirk
Community members are encouraged to stop in, meet staff, and learn more about the wide range of services available through CHQ Aging. Light refreshments will be provided.
“Our offices have evolved significantly over the past few years, and these Open Houses give us the opportunity to welcome the community in,” said Dana Corwin, Director of the Office for Aging Services. “Even though our Jamestown office has been open for some time, many people are still surprised to find us in our newer location. We want everyone — especially older adults and caregivers — to feel comfortable knowing where to go when they need us.”
The Office for Aging Services recently completed its move into newly renovated space in the Hall R. Clothier Building in Mayville at the end of October, following the relocation of the Dunkirk office earlier this summer and the Jamestown office a few years ago.
“These updated spaces allow our team to better meet the needs of the people we serve,” said Carey Skelton, Nutrition and Wellness Program Coordinator. “We’re proud to invite our community partners and residents in to see how our offices have grown, and to learn more about the programs that support wellness and independence throughout Chautauqua County.”
In addition to improved space, CHQ Aging continues to expand how services are delivered across the county.
“It is a great benefit to the community to have our home care case managers integrated and located in the North, Mid, and South County,” said Michelle Swan, Coordinator for Home Care and Caregiver Support Services. “It allows families to receive support and guidance closer to home, and ensures our team remains connected to the unique needs of each community.”
NY Connects, the statewide “No Wrong Door” system for accessing long-term services and supports, is now available at all three CHQ Aging offices, supporting improved access to information and assistance.
“This has been a strategic goal for some time,” said Bridgette Paoletta, NY Connects Coordinator. “We are especially pleased to now offer bilingual NY Connects support for older adults and caregivers whose first language is Spanish. This helps ensure every resident can receive assistance in a way that feels accessible and welcoming.”
Those with questions about the Open Houses are encouraged to call New York Connects at 716-753-4582 or visit chautauquacountyny.gov/office-aging for more information.
