Silver Creek-Irving Heritage Fund awards grants

The Silver Creek-Irving Heritage Fund (SCIHF) recently awarded a total of $3,361 to five charitable organizations. FeedMore of WNY was awarded $500 for the Community Food and Nutrition Champions program; the Michael Boedo Foundation was awarded $511 for an Intergenerational Art Program with St. Columban’s; Silver Creek Festival of Grapes was awarded $700 to purchase a laptop computer, printer and computer supplies; Silver Creek Athletic Booster Club was awarded $1,250 for guardian gaps for football players; and the Village of Silver Creek Historical Center was awarded $400 for the Family Halloween Event at the Ward-Dickinson Dining Car.
SCIHF grants funds to charitable programs to address the most pressing needs identified within the Silver Creek-Irving community and to fund leadership development initiatives. The SCIHF motto is “Remembering Our Past – Securing Our Future”. Applications are accepted annually by September 20th.
As a Community Donor Advised Fund of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF), SCIHF is an endowed fund. That means it will continue to make grants in perpetuity. Gifts to the fund can be made directly at https://www.nccfoundation.org/scihf.
