NCCS eyes opportunities in new year

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School has been decked out for the holidays in recent weeks.

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School, a prekindergarten to eighth grade Regional Catholic Elementary School is celebrating 157 years of Catholic education in Dunkirk while looking ahead to 2026.

The school prides itself in educating all students in mind, body and spirit. Its academic programs allow students to exceed the New York State Learning Standards. The school environment is vibrant, caring with individualized classroom instruction that supports every student to achieve high academic standards.

It is fortunate to offer all students an exceptional music program, high academic learning opportunities, Spanish instruction beginning in second grade through eighth grade. High school Regents Algebra credit available to advanced Math students. Athletic programs and family-centered values of service, respect and love for one another. These successes are proven to enrich every student’s high school educational programs.

The school is grateful to families who are bussed from eight public school districts across Southwestern New York. It established a Catholic High School connection after NCCS at St. Francis High School and Mount Mercy Academy, with bus transportation from Irving to both Catholic High Schools.

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School is inviting new families to experience the school in a special way! During Catholic Schools week, Monday, Jan. 26 to Friday, Jan. 30, we are welcoming new students to experience NCCS. Visit for a day, an hour, or half day, to be a “Monarch for the Day” at NCCS.
