JAMESTOWN – Chautauqua County 4-H has announced the date for the 12th Annual 4-H Green Tie Affair Fundraiser. This is the largest fundraiser of the year for Chautauqua County 4-H.

It will be on Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel and the festivities will begin at 3 p.m. with a Bake Sale and Basket Raffle. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. and the famous pie auction will follow dinner.

The pie list will be published prior to the event, and the pies will be on display at the event as well. Last year was our first year including gluten free pies in the pie auction and they were well supported, so we are excited to announce we will continue to make our pie auction accessible to our gluten-free supporters.

Tickets are also available to purchase without the purchase of the entire table. Individual tickets are $35 each and available by calling the Cornell Cooperative Extension Office (716-664-9502) or emailing chautauqua4h@cornell.edu.

This is the largest fundraiser of the year for 4-H and having made some big changes last year in order to reach more youth. The organization notes it needs the “community to help us grow and support the 4-H mission to connect youth to hands-on learning opportunities that help them grow into competent, caring, contributing members of society.”
