On ice returning from Aspire WNY

The annual event furthers the organization’s mission to see to it that adults and children with developmental disabilities are able to live life to the fullest through events and activities and that allow a safe, yet fun, environment.
On Ice will be taking place this year today from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include a host of fun winter activities including two hours of open skate, curling, and ice bumper cars between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Food, hot cocoa, and coffee will be available, along with food and snacks for those in attendance to enjoy. There will also be a fully stocked cash-bar available, and an RSVP is available for the chance to win a prize. An RSVP is not required to attend the event.
This event further supports the values of Aspire WNY. These values cover people, performance, and partnership. The value of people pertains to recognizing the value and potential of every unique individual. The organization claims to listen and learn from those that they provide services to, giving a stronger sense of dignity to anyone. Performance is another strong value that will only be strengthened as a result of events such as this one. Performance relates to the organization striving to to show compassion, and as a result further promote excellence. This inspires the ways in which the organization approaches these types of events, showing compassion and putting love into every activity. Lastly is the value of partnership. Events such as this one encourages team work, with the goal of being able to help improve the lives of others. This also extends to partnerships from the organization. The organization noted the need to continue expanding and offering opportunities to further those that utilize the services.
