A basement blaze at 170 King St. in Dunkirk had the attention of responders around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Crews from Dunkirk Fire Department, East Dunkirk, Chautauqua County EMS, Emergency Services and Fredonia Fire Department responded to the call. The fire was reported to be knocked down around 2:15 p.m. and a call to the American Red Cross followed.
